Over the course of his career, Mr. Possehl has been recognized for his strong business foresight and expertise. In 2000, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the United Association of Equipment Leasing, and in 2005, he was recognized as Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for the Rocky Mountain Region. In addition to acting as chairman of Republic Financial’s board, he is involved in the community and has served as past chairman of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association, as well as past president of the United Association of Equipment Leasing.
Under Mr. Possehl’s leadership, Republic Financial was recognized for its growth and success. In the last three years as CEO, The Denver Business Journal and ColoradoBiz listed the company as one of the Largest Privately Held Companies in Denver and as one of the Fastest Growing Denver Area Large Privately Held Companies. In 2007, Republic Financial was honored for its honesty and integrity with Ethics in Business Award by the Colorado Ethics in Business Association.
Mr. Possehl is extensively involved with several charities including Caring Ambassadors, Sewall Child Development Center, and the Karen Possehl Scholarship Fund. He has served as president of several non-profit organizations including Rotary Club, Arapahoe Youth League, Titans Team, and is currently a managing trustee of the Green and White Rugby Trust, which supports the Denver Barbarians Rugby Club.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Mr. Possehl and his wife, Karen, moved to Denver, Colorado in 1970. They now divide their time between homes in Denver and Scottsdale, Arizona.

Randy Dietrich assumed the role of chief executive officer of Republic Financial Corporation on January 1, 2008. During his more than 30-year tenure with Republic Financial, Mr. Dietrich has been instrumental in developing and building the company’s Special Assets and Aviation divisions as well as working with a number of Republic’s portfolio companies. From 2000 through 2007, he served as president as well as a member of the company’s leadership team. As senior vice president from 1988 to 2000, he was responsible for all of the company’s operations.
Prior to joining Republic Financial, Mr. Dietrich worked as a consultant, specializing in strategic planning and raising capital. His experience includes oil and gas exploration, financial services, and telecommunications. He started his career as a Certified Public Accountant for Coopers and Lybrand.
A founding ambassador of the Hepatitis C Caring Ambassador Program, Mr. Dietrich is a strong advocate for raising public awareness of health issues. The Caring Ambassadors Program encourages individuals with a life changing or life threatening disease to take an active role in managing their health care and in supporting others with similar health issues.
Mr. Dietrich holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. Married in 1984, Mr. Dietrich and his wife, Kim, live in Centennial, Colorado

Bob Possehl joined Republic Financial in 1997 as an analyst in the Aviation and Portfolio division and has held various other roles at the company including assistant director, assistant head and vice president of Capital Markets, as well as president of Special Assets, and executive vice president of Special Assets and Portfolio Companies. Since January 2008, Mr. Possehl has been the president of Republic Financial. In his current role, he oversees the Portfolio Companies and Special Assets business divisions. Mr. Possehl has been a member of the leadership team since 2001.
Prior to joining Republic Financial, Mr. Possehl was a financial manager for Vail Resorts, Inc. in Vail, Colorado and worked for NCR’s finance department in San Francisco, California.
Mr. Possehl holds a Bachelor of Science in finance and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver. He and his wife, Sarah, live in Denver, Colorado with their three children.
Cheryl Lundberg is an active entrepreneur with more than 10 years of experience in retail merchandising and operations management. Ms. Lundberg holds a degree from the University of Denver in communications. She and her husband John live in Englewood, Colorado with their four children.

Additionally, he has experience with all areas within the information technology marketplace (i.e., hardware, software, consulting, and integration) as well as experience in turnaround management. Mr. Possehl received his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Arizona, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.
Karen Possehl has served on the board of Republic Financial since the company’s inception in 1971. Ms. Possehl, along with her husband, is co-chairing the Capital Campaign for Sewall Child Development Center and has served on Sewall’s Board for over twenty years. She serves on the board of trustees for the University of Colorado Foundati

Ms. Possehl, along with her husband, is co-chairing the Capital Campaign for Sewall Child Development Center and has served on Sewall’s Board for over twenty years. She serves on the board of trustees for the University of Colorado Foundation as well as the Board of Directors of the foundation. She is a past board member of the Hospice of St. John and the Kempe Children’s Foundation. She is the namesake for the Karen Possehl Women’s Endowment, a scholarship fund supported by Jim and Karen Possehl that provides financial assistance to non-traditional female students attending the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
